Bible Reading Plans
Having a solid Bible reading plan is an important way to grow as a Christian. Whether you’re hoping to read through the whole Bible in a year, or read a smaller portion more in-depth, the most important thing is to be in the Scriptures regularly!
Reading Plan Ideas
5x5x5 New Testament Plan. The Navigators have put a nice New Testament reading plan together. Take a look!
Chronological Reading Plan. Not everyone knows this, but the Bible isn’t strictly chronological; rather it’s grouped by genre. While you absolutely can read straight through the Bible, it can also be interesting to read it chronologically, interweaving history and poetry, etc. along the Bible’s timeline. Check out the ESV’s Chronological Reading plan.
Two Year Plan. Perhaps reading through the Bible in a year is too daunting for you. Why not tackle it in two years? The Gospel Coalition has put together a two-year plan that has you covered.
Bible Project Reading Plan. This reading plan takes you thru the entire bible in one year and the book of Psalms two and a half times. Each day includes 2-3 chapters of reading plus a chapter of Psalms as well as frequent videos associated with the reading. You can find it here.
Make Your Own. Interested in constructing your own Bible reading plan? Check out https://biblereadingplangenerator.com/ At this website, you can set up your own custom reading plan by days of the week, with options for reading through the entire Bible, or the Old or New Testament or set up your custom plan by specific books of the Bible - there are lots of customizable options!
